DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a smart, adaptable leader to manage partner and core programs for the Devices & Services (D&S) business. In this role, you will lead comms for our D&S developer and partner businesses, as well as supporting a number of core horizontal programs, including our sustainability, accessibility, and central technology teams. This role requires a driven, strategic and nimble communications professional able to work across multiple programs and disciplines concurrently, managing strategic planning, message development, issues management, proactive and reactive communications, internal stakeholder and executive management, thought leadership, events, and media engagement. This role requires a technical understanding of AI technologies, and requires a leader who is able to earn trust with business partners to influence roadmap decisions, marketing strategy, and developer relations programs. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable liaising with key developer and business partners, both inside and outside the company.

Key job responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


· 10+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
· Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
· Experience working with modern technology products and services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit—enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen
· Demonstrated ability to design and build programs from scratch
· Technical acumen to dive deep into new technologies and tools
· Experience with end-to-end product and/or technology communications
· Experience leading, supporting or managing large press events
· Ability to work across multiple programs and with multiple business partners
· Ability to earn and retain trust of internal and external stakeholders up to exec level
· Ability to communicate complex topics effectively
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Strong attention to detail, with an ability to maintain high standards under tight deadlines
· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
· Willingness to roil up their sleeves to get a job done (even if the job is outside the scope of their role)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
