DESCRIPTION

A Senior Engineering Program Manager (ePM) oversees timely operational delivery of retail demos globally from inception to retail launch. This involves:
- Partnering with Lab126 for inclusion of demo requirements into the device development workstreams
- Working with Factory Operations to plan production of customized demo devices and delivery logistics
- Partnering with engineering teams on demo software delivery and quality testing
- Guiding global Channel Marketing teams on demo demand
- Managing global importation and compliance
- Training/auditing vendors on demo conversion
- Providing technical support during execution.


Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Engineering Program Manager, working closely with Product Management and Global Channel Marketing teams, you will lead cross-functional program teams from demo product concept through the end of life. You will be responsible for creating project plans, schedules and budgets and tracking deliverables through the product development process. You will be responsible for managing your project team meetings and driving accountability in closing action items. You will drive and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver the product(s) as per the agreed-to requirement. You will be responsible for the coordination and planning of all demo builds at the supplier(s), working closely with software, hardware, materials management, operations program management, certification, compliance/legal, and planning. You will be responsible to ensure the release of demo program deliverables to production. You will support production and sustaining activities, including any new requests for retail demos.

A day in the life
As Sr. Program Manager, Retail Demo, you will engage with an experienced cross-functional teams to conceive, design, and launch innovative consumer product retail demo. You will create schedules, drive internal or external engineering hardware and/or software deliverables, ensure executive approvals for the plan takes place, then execute to that plan. You must be responsive, be flexible and be able to handle change, see the big picture, and thrive in an open collaborative environment.

About the team
The Offline Product Strategy is built up of Product Management, Engineering Program Management, and Product Marketing Management. We support most hardware products in offline retail and work with Global Channel Marketing on defining, developing, and executing to the plan to launch retail demos in retailer stores.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
