This role is critical to developing and delivering experiences which enlighten, educate, and inspire the world’s most talented Entertainment leaders. As an experienced member of the learning and development profession, you know that building best-in-class solutions is half the battle; delivering those solutions in a way that captivates our customer’s attention, promotes a friction-less experience, and integrates that experience into a learner’s ecosystem is essential. Your high degree of ownership and results orientation drive you to collect, analyze, and report on data to ensure our learning solutions exceed a continuously rising quality bar. Your consultative skillset allows you to partner effectively with a wide range of senior leaders and subject matter experts to design and develop delivery mechanisms which drive adoption of our solutions. You will work on instructional design projects that utilize your expertise in learning theory and instructional technologies.

The role is part of the Amazon People eXperience and Technology (PXT) organization – we build a workplace for Amazonians to invent and deliver on behalf of customers. PXT for Amazon Entertainment supports a portfolio of entertainment businesses that span film, TV, live sports, music, podcasts, games, audiobooks, livestreaming, and other media content. The Entertainment PXT team focuses on the inputs that attract, grow, and retain creative, technical, and business talent at scale. We customize for unique Entertainment business and industry needs where necessary and scale where possible and applicable. Our Entertainment employees deliver world-class products and services for playing, listening, watching, and streaming in an ever-immersive entertainment environment.
About the Team:
This Learning Design lead will be part of the Entertainment PXT Talent Experience Team. Our purpose is to create and deliver talent programs that help us be Earth’s Best Employer by focusing on the employee experience – from joining Amazon Entertainment, to building connection with each other and our customers, through growing personally and professionally, to being empowered to balance fun, wellness, and learning to sustain a long, fulfilling career with Amazon.

This is a role that requires 5 days a week in the office, as we believe it is easier to learn, model, practice, and strengthen our culture when we’re in the office surrounded by our colleagues.
Key job responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement learning solutions to create meaningful employee growth experiences for the Amazon Entertainment businesses
• Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives, and use customer feedback to continuously improve the quality and impact of our L&D solutions
• Build development experiences with a global mindset
• Identify opportunities for innovative and creative approaches to learning and development
• Implement talent programs for talent with a wide variety of expertise - from business, to technology, to creative content
• Partner with central Amazon L&D teams, HR leaders, and other key stakeholders to implement a best-in-class learning solutions that engages employees and builds capabilities
- BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development, etc.
- 6+ years of design experience (with a shareable portfolio)
- 4+ years of HR program management and/or managing learning, development, engagement programs for internal customers
- 4+ years measuring impact of learning programs
- Experience in writing effective communications plans, project plans, and measurement plans that drive end-to-end efforts and iterative improvements
- Experience collaborating with technical and learning partners for implementation within a learning management system
- E-Learning experience with Adobe Captivate, Adobe Presenter, Camtasia, Articulate, or similar
- Master's degree in related field
- 8+ years of design experience (with a shareable portfolio)
- Experience with designing learning solutions for technical or professional creative audiences
- Aptitude for learning and using technology for both learning design and data analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $215,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
