We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to oversee private network connectivity options for our US National Security and Department of Defense partners to AWS government regions.

Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. At Secure Connect Services within AWS, we enable connectivity between National Security, Department of Defense, and government contracts sites and the AWS government regions. We enable our customers missions by enabling them to store, access, and collaborate with their critical data within the classified cloud. This opportunity is for a Technical Program Manager to join the Edge Connectivity team to facilitate and drive customer journeys to the cloud. You will play a pivotal role between the Edge Connectivity engineering team, the AWS field, and the customer guiding the customer journey. You will lead cross-functional business and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Along the way, you will use your judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent, technical aptitude, and leadership to collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities
As a Technical Program Manager, you will…
- Communicate project risks, progress, launches, and retrospectives transparently to all stakeholders and teams
- Partner with Business, Product, and Technology Leaders and teams to deliver value for our customers
- Drive visibility and transparency of dates, milestones, and schedule throughout the customer onboarding process
- Build inclusive relationships with partner groups in AWS Region Services, Networking and the World Wide Public Sector teams. Ensuring that these teams focus on our customers and support customer missions.
- Manage multiple projects involving technology, business, and operations with conflicting needs and priorities, from concept to launch

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- 1-3 years of experience in network technologies.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with data management and data analytics tools and systems, such as SQL, Quicksight, Redshift, Python or other scripting languages and data analytics tools
- Knowledge of telecommunications circuit acquisition and deployment, rack cabinet enclosure construction methodologies, routers, switches, UPS, etc.
- Knowledge of NSA Approved Type-1 Cryptography and Communications Security (COMSEC)
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other related technical certification.
