AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Do you dream of working in a role where your talent with mechanical HVAC system design and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) can be merged? Do you want to expand your current knowledge of building systems while providing input from your previous experience? Have you ever wondered what it is like to own the whole document control process for a fast paced mechanical design team? YES! Then keep reading…

In this role you will perform project related work such as building load and water use calculations, equipment selection, concept sketches, and CFD modelling. You will answer construction Requests for Information (RFI), develop mechanical Scopes of Work (SOW), produce construction documents for bidding, and assist senior engineers with detailed project work. As the CFD subject matter expert, you will provide detailed report documents and assist in the design specifications as a part of a team which operates within multiple geographic regions, and be an integral part of our work to change the world through technology.

The Data Center Engineering (DCE) team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, inventive Mechanical Engineer with CFD experience to drive design, construction and implementation of enterprise data centers, which meet quality and performance levels across the globe.

As one of our Mechanical Engineers, you will work directly with our Design Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams at the Data Centers within your assigned region. You will be the engineering representative on behalf of the Data Center Engineering Team responsible for the successful delivery of projects.
