Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper is looking for an exceptional program manager practitioner with global expertise and a strong delivery record in planning, execution, and adoption of customer-impacting initiatives. This employee will join the Kuiper Launch Readiness program which is responsible for driving launch readiness for countries across the globe. This role will drive special projects that aid country launch readiness, risk resolution, data visualization, and country launch performance. These projects will partner with key stakeholders, such as Entity Creation, Finance, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, GREF/Workforce Planning, Export Control, and Kuiper organization leaders.
The ideal program manager has a strong sense of ownership, is self-driven, and loves thinking big on how to solve global challenges that will help us accelerate connecting Kuiper with consumers. They will bring a mix of experience including global program management, senior stakeholder management, workforce planning, operations planning, and process improvement. This person will have responsibility in managing Smartsheet dashboards, development, and milestone tracking. Export Control Requirement:

Key job responsibilities
• Lead special projects to accelerate connecting Kuiper to consumers – these will be time bound projects to solve a global or local challenge that is blocking launch, adoption, or revenue realization.
• Develop and execute strategy for measuring and reporting on consumer adoption.
• Collaborate with Project Kuiper leaders, Finance teams, Business Operations teams, Talent Acquisition teams, and other critical stakeholders to drive alignment on launch timelines, challenges, and solutions.
• Manage and analyze launch data for key insights that inform readiness special projects.
• Prepare management reporting and monitor performance by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing performance data and trends; identifying and resolving problems; and developing recommendations.
• Own smartsheet work backwards plans for specific countries.
A day in the life
Each day, this role will meet with Kuiper stakeholders on key risks affecting the launch schedule, business plans for assigned countries, and prepare related documentation to advance launching a country.
Outside of country-specific activities, this role may conduct work (meetings, documentation, analysis) to mitigate a risk affecting multiple countries OR projects that advance our launch readiness capabilities.
About the team
The Global Development team mission is to plan, develop and execute on strategies to launch and operate Kuiper services globally. Through regional and local country operations, our team is responsible for delivering revenue from residential and small business broadband services. On a global level, regional and country level, the team develops business models, local and regional partnerships and fixed service operations in service enabled countries.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
