Amazon Web Services is looking for a talented attorney to support teams within Sales, Marketing, and Global Services. This role provides opportunities to work directly with business leaders, innovate and address complex issues, take ownership over legal matters, and meaningfully contribute to AWS’s dynamic and rapidly growing business.
Amazon Web Services is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud, offering over 200 services to millions of customers—including the fastest growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies. This role provides exposure to both the internal and external elements of our business—supporting the Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations team, which provides the resources, tooling, data, and strategic insights that our field teams utilize every day, and working with the AWS Global Sales team to bring the benefits of AWS cloud to customers across various industries.
In this role you will work on a broad range of issues, including data privacy and data governance, product development, licensing, marketing compliance, and generative AI. You will advise on the development of new tools and resources, analyze compliance considerations and help the business action solutions, vet new initiatives and support them through launch, and implement solutions that help our teams scale and simplify. The role will also involve some drafting of strategic vendor engagements and customer agreements, and managing outside counsel.
We are looking for candidates who are quick learners and creative problem solvers, who thrive in collaborative team environments and are comfortable independently driving projects forward, and who are eager to dive deep to understand our business operations and our customers. Familiarity with cloud computing, although helpful, is not required.
- 2+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
