Amazon is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) who will recruit high quality and bar raising Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) targeting small scale business owners and entrepreneurs. Sr. BDM owns an acquisition pipeline, marketing the program attractiveness and makes recruiting decision of the DSP candidates based on the evaluation guidelines. Sr. BDM also leads building bench strategy (wait list) to respond to unforeseen situations through coordination with the DSP planning, launch new programs and develop partnership with the local communities to increase awareness and create opportunities through DSP program and takes the lead role managing the KPI across the BDM org.

The ideal candidate has an ability to develop a strategy, execute new initiatives/programs and navigate through highly ambiguous environments by working closely with internal and external contacts at all levels to achieve the organizational stretch goals. The candidate also demonstrates excellent communication skills to listen well and articulate compelling relevant value proposition to customers. The candidate also needs to have logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities and is able to manage multiple projects and tasks and demonstrated openness to new idea or outside of the box thinking.
Business level Japanese is required.

Key job responsibilities
- Build the bench strategy working with the DSP planning team
- Expand partnership with local communities including the department of commerce to promote the program for expanded opportunities
- Launch new initiatives in partnership with internal stakeholders including EU Acquisition and report on status of key objectives and deliverables
- Responsible for managing overall BDM KPIs and closing the recruitment targets.
- Evaluate candidates who passed the first screening based on evaluation criteria, including their motivation to become DSP business owners, company vision, business plan and potential to succeed as DSP.
- Assign the best launch location and nurture candidates in the pipeline and engage them throughout the recruitment process.
- Write up a summary and prepare for final approval and an offer. An offer briefing session will be held with partner candidates to explain the program terms and fee schedule
- Collaborate with wide range of stakeholders to ensure launch readiness and conduct a kick off meeting with the station team and Business Coaches (BC), and hand over to BC
- For new launching stations, coordinate with the Launch Execution and provide input about the recruitment status and support capacity planning
