Amazon
Do you get satisfaction from helping customers design and deploy creative and innovative cloud computing solutions to solve complex business problems? Do you have a background in taking non-x86 workloads to the cloud? Do you have the consultative and leadership skills to help customers succeed with their cloud efforts?
Amazon Web Services is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architect to help customers accelerate their migrations of non-x86 workloads to AWS. This is an excellent opportunity to help customers understand best practices for migrating their existing non-x86 workloads to AWS and advise them on building resilient cloud architectures. This role also provides opportunities to influence the future direction of AWS in terms of our support for migrating these workloads to AWS.
Key job responsibilities
As a Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS, you are at the leading edge of technology in your area of expertise and called upon by others in our Sales, Solutions Architecture or technical support teams to provide expert guidance to our customers. AWS Specialist Solutions Architects are typically called upon to work with our largest customers on their most technically challenging problems and you will need to be comfortable working with customer stakeholders across multiple areas of business and technology within organisationally complex structures.
In terms of direct customer engagement, you will own the technical engagement as it relates to their migration of non-x86 applications to AWS and are responsible for ensuring that any guidance you provide is current, architecturally sound, secure, reliable, sustainable, and cost-efficient.
AWS Solutions Architects are also responsible for taking learnings from individual customer successes and scaling that knowledge more broadly through the publication of white-papers & reference architectures, or by building and presenting workshops or breakout sessions at public events such as AWS re:Invent.
A day in the life
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
