Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Kuiper is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Continuous Improvement Leader with a strong background in the aerospace industry. The Manager, Plant Continuous Improvement will be the single threaded owner responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives within Kuiper’s satellite manufacturing plant. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills to enhance operational efficiency and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The candidate will embody Amazon's Leadership Principles to achieve operational excellence and drive transformative change. The role is based in Kirkland, WA.

Key job responsibilities
Reporting to the Manufacturing Plant Manager, the Manager, Continuous Improvement will be a key participant on the production leadership team, will own the continuous improvement program for Kuiper Manufacturing, and will have significant visibility at the senior leadership level. This role will focus on enabling production at scale to meet the demands of the Kuiper constellation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the single threaded owner for driving continuous improvement initiatives within Kuiper's satellite manufacturing plant
- Enhance operational efficiency and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Embody Amazon's Leadership Principles to achieve operational excellence and drive transformative change
- Participate as a key member of the production leadership team
- Own the continuous improvement program for Kuiper Manufacturing
