We are looking for a self-motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong interpersonal skills and experience leading large scale initiatives. The successful candidate will drive across all of Amazon, create mechanisms to identify the best tooling for each type of activity Amazonians do, and work with other teams to provide integrated tooling that will delight our employees.
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will be responsible for inventing and implementing mechanisms to identify the best application in each category. In this role, you will work across multiple organizations, power users and senior leadership to drive consensus, deliver more integrated tooling, and return significant savings to the firm. You will work closely with stakeholders across various design, software and business teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with long-term product roadmaps.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong TPM background, with demonstrated experience leading cross-organizational technical program management of Cloud infrastructure & DevOps projects, and will have a deep technical background in building services in Cloud leveraged by many.

About the team
Application Rationalization is a newly formed team dedicated to identifying the best third (and first) party tooling in use at Amazon today, booking costs savings for the firm, and working with other teams to provide a great experience for your fellow employees. Improving the productivity of all Amazon employees through scalable, highly available enterprise solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 3+ years of software development experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
