We do this for millions of items, for hundreds of product lines worth billions of dollars of inventory world-wide. Our systems are built entirely in-house and are on the cutting edge in automated large scale supply chain sourcing, planning and optimization systems. We foster new game-changing ideas that we are continuously improving, resulting in sophisticated, intelligent and self-learning models. Our team is unique in that we're simultaneously developing the science of supply chain planning while solving some of the toughest computational challenges at Amazon. Unlike many companies who buy existing off-the-shelf planning systems, we are responsible for studying, designing, and building systems to suit Amazon's needs.
The SCOT Forward Looking Inventory Planning (FLIP) team owns the systems and processes required to provide our vendors worldwide with the advance signals they need to produce and place the right inventory at the right place at the right time. Our vision is to enable Amazon to make optimal sourcing decisions to deliver a best-in-class experience for both our customers and our vendors. We are looking for a exceptional manager to help us realize this vision.
