DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Manager to lead the AWS Global Sales Executive Engagement Team. You will play a central role in developing, planning, and driving execution of executive engagements across the AWS Global Sales customer base.

A successful candidate will have experience in executive communications, customer engagements, building and managing data systems to give insights into the program, developing success metrics, and both directly and indirectly managing a global team of high performing engagement and communications professionals to track progress towards strategic initiatives in support of the VP of AWS Global Sales.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the team that oversees the mechanisms and processes in which we engage our executives to connect and communicate with customers, partners, and internal #OneTeam stakeholders. This role requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work backwards from ambiguous requirements to generate clear, concise communications that will be shared with our most senior executives. You will be responsible for planning large-scale engagement events with global stakeholders spanning Marketing, AWS Partners, Global Services, and more. The right candidate is extremely data-driven, thrives in a fast- paced, high-pressure entrepreneurial environment, and has proven experience managing priorities and working effectively across a number of internal stakeholders. This role involves frequent engagement with AWS leadership and requires a candidate with executive presence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to influence others. This is a hands-on-position, to be successful you must be willing to “roll up your
sleeves” to drive the desired results.

Key job responsibilities
Role & Responsibilities
• Work with field sales teams to create meaningful executive interactions with customers.
• Prepare executives for customer meetings and events.
• Build metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms using Salesforce, Tableau, or other platforms to track activity and tie to outcomes.
• Create closed loop tracking to confirm follow-up and follow- through on customer engagements.
• Prepare enablement material for field sales team on best practices.
• Operate autonomously; drive end to end management of business goals.
• Shepherd special projects and initiatives from ideation, documentation to deployment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
