DESCRIPTION

Are you interested in driving the creative strategy for the world’s most innovative brand? Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a leader in cloud computing, is seeking a Brand Analyst with a passion for using data to drive bar-raising brand insights.

The Brand Analyst is responsible for gathering brand inputs( marketing or business objectives and insights, market and customer research, analytics and brand studies, social and cultural trends), reading and managing data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, building econometric models, and identifying novel customer and brand insights to make recommendations. Successful candidates will have extensive experience managing custom, primary research studies from early design to reporting, using data to inform brand strategy and marketing strategy, simplifying complex data with storytelling, and applying advanced analytic techniques to derive hidden meaning and truths. This role will work closely with Senior Brand Strategists to drive consistent, high-bar brand strategy work, which positively shifts perceptions and grows our business.

Key job responsibilities
Conduct, analyze, and synthesis customer and market research to inform brand and marketing outputs

Identify novel customer insights and brand opportunities to drive consistent, high-bar creative which positively shift perceptions and grows our business

Contribute to the development of foundational brand guidance including positioning, attributes, personality, voice and tone guidance, and messaging

Collaborate with creative and marketing partners to define the brand experience across the customer experience

Contribute to campaign framework development to inform creative briefs, channel strategies, analytics and measuring success, and creative strategies for brand marketing initiatives

Provide inputs to campaign strategies and creative briefs that articulate insights to inspire creative teams, and provide measureable creative and content strategies

Contribute to the development of communications frameworks, and clearly articulate your thinking in a white-paper format as you solve problems

Build out brand training materials for stakeholders and peers

Collaborate and build relationships with marketing stakeholders across AWS, as well as usability, business, and development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand customer experiences

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years' experience in marketing or brand management inside advertising agencies, brand strategy consultancies, or in-house marketing organizations
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or similar field OR an additional 4+ years' marketing experience
- Proven experience in developing and refining methodologies for assessing brand impact
- Ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback from multiple teams/owners
- Proven ability to influence and obtain buy-in for creative ideas and champion work to senior executives
- Strong project management, and organizational skills with an attention to detail to ensure end-to-end flawless execution
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and through ambiguity and white space

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience providing inputs and ideas customer insights, creative and brand strategy for omni-channel marketing campaigns including long-form and short-form videos
- Experience defining mechanisms for using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience managing external agency relationships

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
