Our team owns Alexa's proactive experiences, where we are building cutting-edge solutions powered by LLMs to deliver relevant and timely content (e.g. notifications, suggestions) to Alexa customers. We own a strategic platform that delivers 1 billion notifications to over 80 million Alexa customers every month.
The primary focus of these roles is to design and develop LLM-based solutions that can proactively deliver the most relevant and important content to our customers. This involves leveraging advanced natural language processing techniques and machine learning algorithms to understand user preferences, context, and intent. Key job responsibilities
- Deliver working features spanning the full software lifecycle including scoping, design, implementation, testing, and deployment, maintenance, and documentation
- Bring clarity to difficult problems with visible risks and roadblocks and identify simple designs for solutions
- Positively impact the software quality, customer experience, and maintainability of team’s product(s)
- Actively contribute to operational support and routinely identify and execute on opportunities to improve team’s operations.
- Active in the code review process on the team, providing meaningful feedback to others
- Actively mentor other engineers on the team
- Work with stakeholders and peers to understand the business and customer requirements to ensure you deliver the right solutions
- Continuously improve processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team and software efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
