DESCRIPTION

The AWS Global Social Media Team (GSMT) is seeking a curious, cross-functional, and collaborative social media specialist to lead all social publishing across the full AWS social portfolio. This person must be a detail oriented, results-driven communicator who is both passionate about social media and has experience working with Sprinklr. This role is responsible for maintaining our high bar for social content across the organization and and executing high-visibility communications.

As the Social Media Manager owning all content publishing, you will be will be the conduit between all AWS stakeholder teams and the GSMT. This role will manage the day-to-day editorial and promotional content calendar, collaborate with internal and external stakeholder/creative teams to develop social content, while balancing marketing goals, partner relationships, and engagement goals. The ideal candidate has solid judgment and the ability to influence without authority, as well as experience with publishing content for large audiences on digital and social media platforms.


Key job responsibilities
• Manage content strategy and execute day-to-day content publishing and moderation across AWS social media channels.
• Develop creative ways to activate and grow our audience on social media platforms, such as Instagram and YouTube, demonstrating excellent judgment, instincts, and a deep understanding of the social media landscape.
• Analyze social trends, algorithms, competitors, and the broader social environment to discern user preferences and behaviors, informing content strategy.
• Source, create, and publish timely social media content designed to educate, build awareness for AWS Brand, products, and services.
• Manage existing and new relationships with third-party agencies and content creators.
• Regularly track, analyze, and report on progress against goals, content performance, and overall program health for team business reviews and reports.
• Work directly with our operations team to optimize and enhance existing playbooks and toolkits, leveraging best practices to widen reach and increase engagement.
• Streamline and improve production flows for social media, campaigns, and communications.
• Address blockers and escalate issues and complaints to designated leadership.



About the team
The Brand Advertising and Global Social Media Team (GSMT) drives top of mind awareness of AWS through custom content and acts as a megaphone to share key messages (e.g., generative AI and machine learning) through visual storytelling across mass-reach channels (e.g., TV, paid digital, organic social, etc.). to generate an AWS “brand halo” to create a favorable selling environment.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- 3+ years of Salesforce, Tableau, Vidyard, and Excel experience
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- +4 years social media experience, specifically working with Sprinklr.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with a major brand or entertainment company in project/production management
- Experience in e-commerce, start ups, advertising, commercial
- Experience using data visualization tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $53,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
