DESCRIPTION

The AWS Global Social Media Team (GSMT) is looking for an experienced developer advocate social media manager to join our team supporting the Developer Experience (DevEx) stakeholder group with all social content creation, delivery, publishing, and performance reporting. This role will help shape, influence, and inspire developers everywhere and how they experience and interact with the AWS brand, as well as our products and services on the full portfolio of social accounts.

As the Developer Advocate social media manager, you will be responsible for coordinating content creation across a wide range of content creators, developer community members, and existing developer advocates on the DevEx team. You will also partner with DevEx to develop net new content for developers, managing creative agencies, internal resources, and ensure AWS brand guidelines/governance is followed.



Key job responsibilities
• This role will be responsible for analyzing and reporting social media performance metrics, defining and implementing social media goals, strategies, content requirements, and intended outcomes with their Developer Experience stakeholder group.
• This role will manage daily meetings across all stakeholders to ensure we are creating a thriving social experience for developers, meeting them where they are.
• Help increase adoption of new products and features by creating high-quality content such as videos, blog posts, or podcasts targeted at engineers / technical end users
• Work with our Marketing team to create and publish product-focused social media and newsletter content.
• Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business objectives that help shape the perception of the AWS brand.
Develop and launch social programs to boost the credibility of the AWS brand worldwide, with a focus on brand advertising, public relations, and global campaigns.
• Execute social media campaigns standalone and as part of multi-channel advertising efforts.
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of social media channels, including content creation, publishing, and community management.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with DevEx.
• Partner with external media agencies and social media platforms, while seeking out new and emerging platforms.



About the team
The Brand Advertising and Global Social Media Team (GSMT) drives top of mind awareness of AWS through custom content and acts as a megaphone to share key messages (e.g., generative AI and machine learning) through visual storytelling across mass-reach channels (e.g., TV, paid digital, organic social, etc.). to generate an AWS “brand halo” to create a favorable selling environment.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau
- Experienced social media marketing manager.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
