We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager with a strong background in strategic planning to lead key initiatives that align with our long-term business objectives. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in transforming strategic visions into actionable plans and guiding those plans to fruition. In this role, you will be responsible for program strategies, including the development and execution of detailed project roadmaps. Your expertise in strategic planning will be essential in identifying critical business opportunities and challenges, and in devising innovative solutions to address them. You will work closely with various internal teams and stakeholders, harmonizing different perspectives and ensuring cohesive efforts towards common goals.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.
- Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams.
- Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.
- Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.
- Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success.
- Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs.
- Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls.
- Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues.
- Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.
- Manage and communicate project budgets effectively.
About the team
Amazon Flex crowd sources independent contractors – called Delivery Partners (DPs) – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Flex WW Safety Team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to drive safety improvement for both drivers and community members worldwide through program development, process improvement, business insight discovery and automation, and other aspects. The individual will work across organization to benchmark industrial best practices, deliver granular safety insights, drive cross-functional process changes, innovate and drive programs and processes, and facilitate leadership alignment when needed, to raise the bar on safety performance.
Understanding regional nuances for metrics and root causes is a pre-requisite to making informed decisions and projecting entitlement of our safety efforts. This role dives into the regional nuances of all Flex countries that drive mid-long term program management to improve DP Safety and Sentiment in that region. The Regional Teams partner closely with the WW Safety Incident Category owners as well as local Field Teams to tackle all concerns for a region.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related field
- Experience owning end-to-end long-term strategic planning or capacity planning initiatives
- 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
- 5+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience of Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
