Outbound is Amazon’s most direct marketing channel to engage with customers, providing marketing content and transactional information across email, mobile push, SMS, and emerging communication channels. The Outbound UX team’s vision is to design and deliver the most highly relevant and inspiring messages for customers that drive immediate and lasting engagement with Amazon.

We’re looking for a Sr, UX Designer to help set the vision for the next generation of Outbound communications. You will define the strategy, creative direction and design standards that help customers find and get the content that inspires them, and that extends their onsite experience offsite. In this role you will work closely with design, brand, engineering, and product partners to deliver customer-centric design solutions that elevate the customer experience and their perception of the Amazon brand.

To succeed in this role, requires strong visual design skills in addition to UX, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and the commitment to take ownership asneeded. You must be detail-oriented in your design craft while also able to see the bigger picture and connect your work to business opportunities. Key job responsibilities
* Defining email and mobile push experiences that best serve the unique needs of each customer across variable devices and operating systems, and partnering closely with engineering teams to ship them to millions of customers worldwide
* Providing creative direction for, and contributing design documentation to, the central Outbound templating system
* Raising the Outbound design and creative bar to be modern, appealing and relevant
* Partnering with organizations across Amazon to identify and deliver compelling ways to highlight their products and programs
* Uniting a broad range of programs and features through cohesive design, while also contributing to a culture of invention
* Leveraging strong, user-centered design skills and business knowledge to translate conceptual ideas into performant design solutions that scale
* Using market analysis, customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings to inform design rationale
* Seeking opportunities for scaling dynamic content through internal tools, generative AI, and emerging technologies
* Being externally aware of and seek inspiration from emerging trends in mobile and online experiences

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
- Experience designing customer facing retail products
- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with hands-on visual design
- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
