DESCRIPTION

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including for customers who require specialised security solutions for their cloud services.

Our team is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join us. The successful candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator both written and verbally, and will lead multi-discipline, highly technical project initiatives. The ideal candidate will be familiar with one or more AWS products, and will have successfully managed multiple technology projects.

The TPM will be fully competent in project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Work with systems engineers, system developers, technical product managers and software developers to coordinate the launch of different services into special regions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and high-risk areas.
- Produce and evaluate launch, resource, and compliance metrics.
- Work with service owners to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Manage the build and deployment of new tooling to streamline and automate security, testing, and region launch related initiatives.
- Support process improvement projects in coordination with service teams.
