The Global Talent Management and Compensation organization is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our team. Our design work has a direct impact on the lives of millions of Amazonians, helping them achieve work-life harmony and advance in their careers. We build intelligent products and services that offer a consumer-grade user experience and use science to manage talent development. You will join a team of passionate designers and researchers to create products to address the sheer scale of HR at Amazon, while providing engaging, personal, and human experiences.

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to wake up every day thinking about the employee experience at Amazon. You will be responsible for cultivating and crafting the vision for the next generation product suite and leading the execution of that vision. You're an experienced UX Designer who continues to learn new techniques and follows trends in the industry. You will be responsible for the design of the end-to-end employee experience. You'll craft elegant design solutions across a range of personas and platforms at global scale and collaborate closely with product and engineering partners, as well as multiple partner teams within the broader People Experience Technology (PXT).

Key job responsibilities
- Assume ownership for the design of end-to-end product experiences and features.
- Contribute to the vision for the organization and influence the product strategic roadmap.
- Lead design through all phases of the product development lifecycle from discovery to launch.
- Champion user-centered design culture.
- Drive creative process and collaboration with cross-functional partners to propose new ideas and strategies.
- Model behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles in their team and raises the design bar for the organization.
- Provide coaching and feedback, with an emphasis on growing junior designers and leadership capability.
- Create and drive adoption of design guidelines, mechanisms, best practices, process, and tools.

A day in the life
As a Senior UX Designer, you will be working with product and engineering stakeholders closely on day-to-day basis. While you will independently own multiple products/features at the same time and collaborate with other UX designers in the same team, connecting individual features to a holistic experience. UX Researchers and UX Writers will support you. You will share design work regularly with design team peer review, stakeholder review, and leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience with design tools such as Figma and Sketch

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- A bachelor's degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
