This role is a 6 month temporary contract role that requires you to be in the Brampton office 3 days per week

What you’ll be doing:

  • The main scope of the Maintenance Repair Specialist will be to focus on the timely and efficient transfer of maintenance repair work to 3rd party contractors, and post-work processing.
  • Ensure that maintenance Repair work is being effectively orginized and managed.
  • Using Nika to manage all maintenance repair work. (i.e., Issuing work, assigning purchase orders, changing status, and running reports)
  • Entering and managing payments in the Oracle Financial System. Creating and closing Purchase Orders, Processing of requisitions and invoices for payment.
  • Interact with Finance (CA's-associated costs of projects in Capex and Opex)
  • Interact with Planning (Work with OPE to obtain Drawing for Municipal Consent, Request Purchase Order and Process Invoices)
  • Report observed trends/concerns to management and offer suggestions on departmental improvements and initiatives.
  • Manage Escalation between Multiple parties (Office of the President, Ontario Escalation, Municipalities, VIP, etc.)
  • Provide mentoring and training on Nika to 3rd party contractors.
  • Process Municipal Road Occupancy Permit of Contractors
  • Subject Matter Expert on all Maintenance repair Processes/Procedures. (Training Provided)
  • Providing tracking assistance to the Maintenance Field Managers.
  • Assist with special projects as needed (Modernization, Preventative Maintenance, Proactive Battery Program, etc.).

What you bring:

  • Demonstrates and promotes behaviors, which align with the Rogers Values.
  • Effective communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required
  • Fosters an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Any Proficiency with the Rogers suite of tools and applications as they relate to maintenance repair. (Nika, Oracle, ADM, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point).
  • The ability to read and interpret plans would be considered a valuable asset
  • Experience in project planning and mentoring would be an asset.

In certain provinces (e.g. British Columbia) you are required to obtain and maintain a valid security worker licence to perform your position's duties. If applicable, you must obtain the required license and provide proof of satisfactory to the Company that you have obtained it on or before your start date.
