Your role and responsibilities

As a Technology Expert Labs Delivery Consultant, Professional Services Engineer (PSE) and Advanced Integration specialty, you will be responsible for providing deep subject matter expertise towards a successful services delivery practice to Turbonomic's ∨ Instana's customers. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all technical queries related to your customers' engagements, as you support your Technical Account Manager and Delivery Team to drive customer progress along the ARM (Application Resource Management) multi-journey. There is specialty concentration in programing/scripting languages, DevOps practices, business intelligence suggesting a level of coding experience.

What You Will Do:

  • Help identify the need for training (content) across the practice.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to develop innovative solutions to customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of industry trends, common challenges, best practices, customer's business, competitors, market positioning and adoption of best practices.
  • Establish & execute account governance, set delivery metrics and drive customer excellence in existing accounts.
  • Ensure overall quality of the interaction with each customer, coordination of all aspects of delivery, and overall adoption of Turbonomic ∨ Instana solutions across the customer landscape.
  • Drive results on services engagements to ensure rapid adoption and short time to value for customers.
  • Identify opportunities within the customer’s environment to extend Turbonomic ∨ Instana adoption by understanding their key business and technical objectives.
  • Document all work with customers including overall value provided, run books, configuration guides, and executive summaries.
  • Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of Turbonomic ∨ Instana, Cloud, Containers, and Virtualization, data center infrastructure and other emerging technologies.
  • Assist with documenting best practices in developing and implementing Turbonomic ∨ Instana solutions.
  • Maintain all current Turbonomic ∨ Instana certifications as required.
  • Install, deploy, upgrade and maintain the customer Turbonomic ∨ Instana platform
  • Ensure best practises and standards are followed and adhered to with all customer engagements
  • Support as Subject Matter Expert (SME) the Turbonomic ∨ Instana Technical Account Manager, Sales Engineering and Account Executives assigned to the customer.
  • Ensure your customer receives quantifiable & quantifiable value from Turbonomic ∨ Instana by both guiding and leading them along the defined ARM Multi-Journey roadmap towards the identified and agreed Business Outcomes.
  • Translate Business Outcomes and/or Business Pains and Turbonomic's ∨ Instana's technical capabilities mapping to an Agile methodology and Scrum framework services delivery.
  • Work within an Agile Methodology and Scrum Framework applied for Professional Services Delivery..
  • Create, Manage, Improve custom integrations for Turbonomic ∨ Instana leveraging scripting/programming languages

What You Will Bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple resources, across multiple client engagement projects of varying degrees of complexity.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet client expectations while adhering to defined corporate policies, practices, and processes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, CS, IT Business Management, Economics, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Technologist level of understanding of hardware and software architecture, virtualization, cloud and associated infrastructure design and development.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing client demands.
  • 10+ years of experience in an infrastructure, datacenter, dev-ops and or architecture role, with an understanding of platform architecture and design
  • Extensive field experience in one or more of these fields: virtualization (7+ yrs), cloud computing architectures (5+ yrs) and containers (3+ yrs)
  • Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills.
  • Professional level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 5 years minimum experience as a Professional Services Engineer, consultant or Sales Engineer.
  • Agile/Scrum Certification of equivalent experience
  • Languages: Python, PowerShell
  • DevOps: GitHub
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Software Development experience a plus.
  • Exposure to Turbonomic ∨ Instana as part of experience in the Professional Services or Consultant Role
  • Turbonomic ∨ Instana Professional Certification
  • Versed in Atlassian JIRA platform or similar
  • Proven experience working with Agile Methodology and Scrum Framework on associated fields.
