As a Customer Success Engineer Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting client solutions and learning how technology helps drive customer success. You will work alongside experienced team members to understand how IBM products are used to support client adoption, growth, and value realization.
With guidance and mentorship, you will:
• Support Solution Design: Assist in preparing and delivering technical proof points such as demonstrations, proofs of technology (POTs), proofs of concept (POCs), workshops, solution designs, and minimum viable products (MVPs).
• Learn About Client Challenges: Participate in client discussions and activities to understand their key challenges and learn how organizations modernize and adopt IBM’s technology portfolio.
• Assist in Success Planning: Support the development of success plans by learning about deployment roadmaps, milestones, and desired outcomes in collaboration with client stakeholders.
• Observe Client Engagements: Observe and assist in client interactions, including identifying stakeholders, participating in use‑case workshops, and learning how business outcomes are measured.
• Explore Client Solution Development: Learn how viable client solutions are designed by leveraging existing product capabilities to meet client needs.
This internship is designed to help you build foundational skills in customer success, client engagement, and solution design within a collaborative learning environment.
• Exposure to Technical Accelerators: Familiarity with creating and delivering technical proof points through demonstrations, POTs, POCs, Workshops, Solution Design, and MVPs. • Basic Understanding of Client Challenges: Interest in understanding clients' main challenges and curiosity about their modernization and adoption of technology portfolios. • Interest in Solution Design: Basic understanding of designing viable client solutions by leveraging current product capabilities. • Exposure to Success Planning: Familiarity with developing a success plan that describes deployment roadmap(s), milestones, and outcomes. • Curiosity about Client Interactions: Willingness to learn about finding sponsors, conducting use-case workshops, and establishing measurable business outcomes.
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud-based technologies and platforms is beneficial for designing viable client solutions. • Knowledge of IT Industry Trends: Basic understanding of current IT industry trends and emerging technologies can help in understanding clients' main challenges. • Exposure to Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative development can aid in developing success plans and solution design.
