Your role and responsibilities

As a Complex Project Manager for Customer & Experience Transformation, you will manage IBM's largest and most complex Interactive Experience (IX) client commitments, ensuring successful delivery of solutions for complex IT, business, and client requirements. You will lead project teams in delivering projects using appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Project Delivery: Lead project teams in delivering projects, managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables to ensure successful solution delivery for complex IT, business, and client requirements.
  • Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, develop communication plans, and provide day-to-day direction and status updates to clients, ensuring effective collaboration and client satisfaction.
  • Contract Management: Apply expertise in managing complex business outsourcing contracts, advising on large or complex engagements, and applying deal-making techniques to drive business growth.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with complex combinations of technical, business, financial, and human resources issues, often on a global scale.
  • Financial Management: Utilize IPPF tool for costs and invoices as per contract delivery milestones, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Managing Complex Projects: Experience with managing large-scale, complex IT projects, ensuring successful delivery of solutions for intricate business and client requirements.
  • Business Outsourcing Contracts: Experience in managing complex business outsourcing contracts, advising on large or complex engagements, and applying deal-making techniques.
  • Risk Management: Experience with identifying and mitigating risks associated with complex combinations of technical, business, financial, and human resources issues on a global scale.
  • Financial Management Tools: Experience with utilizing tools such as IPPF for costs and invoices as per contract delivery milestones, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Global Client Management: Experience in providing day-to-day direction and status updates to global clients, ensuring effective collaboration and client satisfaction.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Strategic Innovative Thinking: Experience with applying strategic innovative thinking to analyze business and IT challenges, driving creative solutions for complex client requirements.
  • Deal-Making Techniques: Experience in applying deal-making techniques to drive business growth, advising on large or complex engagements, and managing complex business outsourcing contracts.
  • Executive Presence: Experience with demonstrating executive presence, navigating high-level negotiations, and communicating effectively with global clients and stakeholders.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
