We are seeking a Sr.Manager, FS lead, APAC to lead and scale our food safety program across one of Amazon's fastest-growing and most regulatory-diverse regions. This senior leadership role carries direct accountability for ensuring that Amazon's food selection and operations exceed customer expectations while maintaining compliance with local, national, and regional food safety regulations across APAC markets.

The ideal candidate will combine deep food safety expertise with strategic vision, the ability to navigate complex multi-jurisdictional regulatory landscapes, and a track record of building high-performing teams. This is a high-visibility role with direct engagement with regional regulators, industry bodies, and Amazon's senior leadership, offering the opportunity to shape the future of food safety at scale in the APAC region.


Key job responsibilities
• Set and own the strategic direction for the APAC food safety program, ensuring Amazon's food selection and operations consistently exceed customer expectations and meet all legal, regulatory, and Amazon-internal requirements across the region.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of food safety professionals across multiple APAC markets, developing talent, setting the performance bar, and fostering a culture of ownership and customer obsession.
• Engage with external regulators, industry bodies, and policy makers across APAC to shape standards, advocate for science-based policies, and position Amazon as a trusted and responsible food safety leader in the region.
• Drive technology-enabled food safety solutions by partnering with Technology teams to design and implement industry-leading tools, automation, and data-driven controls that scale across diverse APAC markets.
• Navigate regulatory complexity at scale, maintaining real-time awareness of evolving food safety regulations across jurisdictions (AU, JP, SG, IN, and emerging APAC markets) and translating requirements into actionable compliance programs.
